
Will O’ the Fox
DigiPen Game project 2022–2023
Will O’ the Fox was a sophomore game project at DigiPen Institute of Technology made in a custom C++ engine with Wwise integration. A Unity prototype was made for the first half of development.
In this dark fantasy 2D puzzle platformer you help a wisp guide a fox through a bleak forest to restore light to the world. The wisp companion helps lead monsters away and solve puzzles.
What I did:
As Audio Lead and sole Sound Designer I was in charge of everything that came out of the speakers. SFX and music creation, asset tracking, implementation coordination, and quality control.
I did all the audio implementation in our prototype in Unity during the first semester.
What I learned:
How essential trust is in a functioning team.
How to help keep other teammates accountable.
Entire audio pipeline from content creation to implementation in engine.
The importance of multi-disciplinary collaboration in a video game project.
